I have recently lauched Revo – Action clothes and protective sportswear for action kids – it is something I have been passionate about for years, keeping kids safe from top to toe while on horse-back.
The range, which has been designed by me with world-renowned neuro-surgeon, John Firth, will offer protection and safety whilst being a fashionable for style conscious kids. It is not just suitable for equestrians though, Revo protective sportswear can be worn by kids who play ice hockey, skateboarding and cycling which although great fun regularly result in accidents.
Revo protective sportswear has been designed to counteract knocks and bruises with hi-tech fabrics and padding strategically located on the knock spots such as elbows, knees, the coccyx and the spine. All horse riders will immediately realise when they wear a Revo product that it has been designed by a fellow rider as it offers maximum freedom and movement without neglecting the fact that kid’s demand fashion and style at all times. All fabrics will stand up to the severest of weather conditions, are tear resistant and 100% machine washable – a prime concern for many parents!
As a past champion at Wembley, Windsor and Hickstead, I have always been concerned that horse riders have been neglected when it comes to the design of clothing for the equestrian world. I have often wondered why the fashion fabric evolution that has been applied to most other dangerous sports such as motor racing and skiing has missed our sport. Riders have been crying out for clothing that allows freedom of movement as well as protection for many years. So I have done something about it partly as I am the mother of two keen horse riders.
